Coach Sammi has helped me gain confidence- not just at the gym, but with myself in general. She has helped me learn how to make better nutritional choices, taught me that we don’t have to avoid food at special occasions, as long as we monitor our food intake; motivated me to push through one more set so I could see how capable I really am. She is intuitive of when to push you harder and when to help you have grace, patience and understanding with yourself. , yesterday. What started as a pact with my neighbor to get our bods ready for summer became a journey of finding newfound strength and energy. My goal was to lose some fat and gain some muscle. Sammi delivered with some hellish one-on-one training and nutritional guidance with macros. I lost 3% body fat and gained 3.6 pounds of muscle. I lost an inch or more on my waist and hips. I know that if my goal was to reach my pinnacle in fitness, I would have put in more hours in the gym and cut out the alcohol; but I love that Sammi recognized I was looking for a way to establish some good habits for a foundation I can build on going forward.
Now I can enjoy going up a flight of stairs without getting winded, experience the total satisfaction of hitting my protein goal for the day, and the joy of not hurting myself by doing normal everyday things like “looking to the left too fast”. Now it’s up to me to keep myself motivated to do some home workouts and continue watching my food intake. I won’t let you down, Sammi! But I may be back after the holidays

I treat my logs and progress like a 401k, put it in and ignore it and try not to obsess over it. Every once and a while I check in and see how it’s doing. Today I looked at my check in measurements and actually paid close attention to them more than normal. What I saw today was some pretty amazing milestones.
May 2nd: fat mass- 62.25 lbs, today: 39.48. I’ve destroyed 22.77 lbs of fat from my body.
May 2nd: lean mass- 157.95 lbs, today: 170.52. Added 12.75lbs of muscle.
May 2nd: body fat %- 28.27, today: 18.8! Dropped 10% body fat!
May 2nd: Waist- 42.5, today: 37.5, down 5”..
Other intangibles include a resting heart rate in the very low 50’s, down from the mid 60’s in may. Blood pressure in may was normal but rising at 128/85, now I’m consistently around 118/68.
I’m leaner, stronger, and healthier at 48 than I have been since I was a child. Wouldn’t be where I am today without you coach
